Winter is a difficult time for many families, especially for vulnerable groups. As part of the cooperation between the Blago Regional Charitable Foundation, UN Women in Ukraine, and the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), we donated firewood to Roma settlements so that people could warm their homes.
This is another step towards supporting communities that often lack basic resources. Together with our partners, we continue to work to ensure that aid reaches those who need it most.
The project is implemented by the Zakarpattia Regional Charitable Foundation “Blago” with the technical support of UN Women in Ukraine and with funding from the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF), a flexible and operational financing instrument that supports quality measures to enhance the capacity of local women to prevent conflicts, respond to crises and emergencies, and use key peacebuilding opportunities.
