“We just wanted the children to be safe…”
⠀
Six months ago, Diana and Alex, with little Renat in their arms, were forced to leave their native Dnipropetrovsk region. Daily air raids, explosions, and constant fear for their lives left them no choice but to escape.
⠀Diana was already pregnant at that time. But even despite the danger, the family did not dare to leave for a long time. As Roma, they were scared – they knew that finding shelter would be difficult due to the discrimination they had faced more than once in their lives. But their love for children and the desire to protect them turned out to be stronger.
⠀The shelter of the Blago Foundation became a real salvation for them. Here they were accepted without judgment, without prejudice – with an open heart and a sincere desire to help.
⠀The Blago Foundation provided the family with temporary housing, three meals a day, and most importantly – a sense of security and support.
“We are very grateful to Eleonora Ivanovna and the entire team of the Blago Foundation for helping us prepare for childbirth. After Amira was born, they gave us a separate room where we could be together as a whole family,” says Alex, holding her newborn daughter in her arms.
⠀Today, Amira sleeps peacefully next to her brother Renat, who is already one and a half years old. Their laughter is the best confirmation that the family has found not just a roof over their heads, but a real home.
⠀What the Blago Foundation does is more than help.
It is a chance.
It is humanity in action.
It is a new life that begins with kindness.
