Transcarpathian Regional Charitable Fund “Blago” conducted a series of important trainings

On October 28-29, 2024, a series of important trainings organized by the Transcarpathian Regional Charitable Foundation “Blago” with the support of UN Women in Ukraine and funding from the UN Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Aid Fund (WPHF), a flexible and operational funding tool that supports quality measures to increase capacity of local women in conflict prevention, crisis and emergency response, and key peacebuilding opportunities.
These trainings, held in Beregov, Seredny and Uzhhorod, are aimed at raising awareness and strengthening the legal and practical knowledge of women and girls of the Roma community.
The participants discussed women’s rights, their own strength and ways of using knowledge in practice. In addition, they received clear advice on where to go in cases of infringement. The atmosphere of trust, sincere emotions and support allowed each woman to share her unique experience without fear of judgment.
This project, supported by WPHF’s flexible funding tool, aims to create a safer, more equitable environment where women are able to counter crises and build peace in their communities. The first trainings showed how important such support is for each participant, which makes this project truly necessary for the region.
