At the second session of the conference, REYN-Ukraine leader Eleonora Kulchar presented a network mission –
to bring together all structures and groups (educational institutions, children’s service, community organizations, government, family, medicine, social services, Roma communities) around the greatest value – the Child. The head of the REYN network in Ukraine also talked about changes in the structure of the network in Ukraine, in particular, that the pilot regions for the realization of REYN-Ukraine goals in 2019 will be Zaporizhzhya, Lviv, Transcarpathia and Kharkiv, where presentations of network philosophy for stakeholders will be conducted, as well as carried out more practical activities – monitoring the determination of the needs of Roma children in order to further advocacy campaigns and adaptation of REYN approaches to the identified inquiry. This activity will allow the development of four completely different cases (because the geographical location of the pilot regions has allowed a very diverse community to be covered), which in the future can be systematically implemented in other REYN community members. This approach promises to maximize the interests of the child. In addition, Eleanor Kulchar announced the launch of a small grants competition among network members for advocacy campaigns.
