Today, the team of the ZOBF “Blago” had the opportunity to participate in an important event – the forum “Human Rights: Status, Control, Real Actions”, which took place in Transcarpathia.
⠀The event brought together people who work every day in complex and responsible areas: military, human rights activists, educators, representatives of local and state authorities, representatives of public organizations, clergy, volunteers.
⠀This was not an exchange of theses, but a conversation about reality without embellishment, about veterans, prisoners, children, internally displaced persons, about challenges that cannot be ignored.
⠀On behalf of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Andriy Kryuchkov – Representative of the Ombudsman in the Transcarpathian region spoke at the forum. In his address, he clearly emphasized:
⠀”Human rights are not an item in a report. These are living stories, this is dignity that we must protect every day. And this is our shared responsibility.”
⠀During the discussions, many important things were said. The topics of protecting the rights of children and victims of war became especially close to us.
⠀We thank the organizers for the opportunity to be present, share experiences and look for solutions together. Human rights are not an abstraction, but daily work and a common cause.
