Since 2014, the Zakarpattia Charitable Foundation “Blago” has been implementing the program “Preschool Preparation for Roma Children” — a unique project that gives children a real chance for a full-fledged start in school life.
⠀Over the years, we have already prepared 286 children for school. In just seven months, the little ones acquire basic knowledge, adapt to new conditions, learn to trust their teacher, and begin discovering the world through learning.
And it all began with… doors that needed to be knocked on every single day.
⠀“For two years, we literally went from house to house every day, taking children by the hand and bringing them to class,” recalls Eleonora Ivanivna, director of the “Blago” Foundation.
It wasn’t easy. It took time. But today, things are different.
⠀Today, parents register their children in advance — because they see the results. Because they believe. Because they want a different future for their children.
⠀This program is not just about getting ready for school. It is the first step toward quality education, equal opportunities, and change within the community.
